Hello, and welcome to our story! Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for being here as you consider this important season in your life. We know you may be looking through many profiles, and we feel truly grateful that you chose to spend a moment getting to know ours. We hope this gives you a small but meaningful glimpse into our lives, our values, and our hearts for adoption.

Our desire to grow our family through adoption has been many years in the making. Even before we met, we each hoped to become parents and had both thoughtfully considered adoption as part of our future. After walking through infertility, fertility treatments, and loss, we spent time grieving, praying, and discerning what the next chapter of our story would look like.

Through it all, adoption continued to feel not like a backup plan, but a calling that has been written into our hearts. We have been deeply encouraged by the adoptive families in our lives and have seen firsthand the beauty, complexity, and love that adoption brings.

We approach this journey with humility, gratitude, and deep respect for you and your story. If you choose us, we promise to love your child wholeheartedly, honor you in their story, and provide a home filled with safety, faith, laughter, and belonging.

Cooking together

We enjoy sharing simple, everyday moments together, and cooking is one of our favorite ways to connect. Anna generally cooks supper from scratch, and we eat together nearly every evening as a technology free activity, using that time for meaningful conversation and connection. We look forward to one day sharing these moments with our children.

accepting challenges

Before we met, Nathaniel experienced an accident in college that caused him to lose his vision. This season shaped him in meaningful ways, giving him resilience, perspective, and deep empathy for the challenges other people face in their own lives. Today, vision loss is simply part of our everyday life. Nathaniel is highly independent, and together we travel, hike, attend concerts and theater, work on projects around the house, and enjoy life with confidence, patience, and hope.

taking in nature

We love spending time outdoors together and enjoy taking walks through our neighborhood, along the river, and in nearby nature conservation areas. We are about an hour from the ocean and love visiting the coast in every season, exploring beaches, smelling the sea air, and listening to the waves.

When we travel, we often choose places where we can hike, visit mountains and waterfalls, and take in the beauty of creation. Being in nature helps us slow down, connect, and reflect on how big and good God is.

at home

Our home is a place we love spending time together. Nathaniel makes Anna coffee every morning and cooks hot breakfasts on the weekends (we love a good breakfast!). On quiet weeknights we’re often reading, talking about our day, or working on small projects around the house, and in the fall we love spending time outside by the fire, listening to college sports, and enjoying the season. Music is a meaningful part of our home, whether it’s playing in the background, something we intentionally share together, or when one of us is practicing in the evening.

We love being hospitable and feel grateful that our home is well suited for welcoming others. Family and friends visit often, and we enjoy hosting dinners and open gatherings that fill our home with laughter, connection, and a sense of community.

We promise to love your child wholeheartedly and unconditionally. We will raise them knowing that God loves them deeply and that you love them deeply as well. We will honor you in our home and in our family and speak of you with respect, gratitude, and care.

We promise to do everything we can to provide for your child’s needs and keep them safe. We will nurture and support them through life’s ups and downs, foster their creativity, celebrate their individuality, and help them grow into the person God created them to be.

We believe children benefit from knowing their own story and their family of birth. We look forward to discussing openness and communication in a way that feels healthy and respectful for everyone involved, and we promise to honor you and your place in your child’s life.

Our Family & Friends

We are blessed to share a large extended family spread across North America who sincerely love and support one another. We stay connected through regular phone calls, video chats, texts, and visits, and our families are excited and eager to welcome our future children through adoption. We also have a strong church community and close friendships where we feel supported, encouraged, and cared for. There is so much love surrounding us, and our future children will grow up with many people cheering them on.
