we're julia & brian

nice to meet

We have so much admiration and respect for your courageous decision to consider adoption. We want you to know that if you chose us as adoptive parents we will love, nurture, and cherish them with all our heart.

We have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Sadly, we have lost four babies due to miscarriage. Adoption has been on our hearts from the very beginning of our relationship. The idea of adoption was not something new; Brian’s brother was adopted as an infant so it’s always been on his heart.

Please know that whatever your decision is, we are praying for you in this journey. We would love to hear about your hopes and dreams for your child and join hands with you in this season.

 life together

we've been married for four years

We met while working together back in 2017. We got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2018 and were married a few months later. On a Saturday afternoon you may find us attending a sporting event, cooking together, watching movies, or finding new restaurants and bakeries to try.

 adoption plans

we are looking forward to the day when we bring our little one home

Brian serves as an Associate Pastor of our church and I recently became a stay at home wife in anticipation of our upcoming adoption. We want to give the best possible life to our child so we have made plans for me (Julia) to stay at home. Brian also has a very flexible schedule and plans to take time off when we adopt.

 family traditions

our family traditions include enjoying the little things in life

You can often find us perusing a used bookstore together, catching a game, paddle- boarding, hiking, or walking a local trail. On holidays we are most often with our family. We have cookouts for July 4th and Memorial Day. We celebrate Thanksgiving with an amazing lunch and Christmas is always with our families.

 quality time

We love spending quality time together

Being present and spending quality time with each other and our family and friends is very important to us. We are thankful our child will be surrounded by so many people who will pour into them and encourage them throughout their life.

I am looking forward to the  day when we add a child to our family and bring them home for the first time. I am excited for the simple delight of holding our new baby.  I want to be a father who is intentional and involved in my child’s life.

Julia has been caring for children for most of her life. She babysat, worked in childcare, and  went to school to learn early children education. She was also a nanny and has experience for caring for children who have special needs. I am so excited to see her as a mother. I have no doubt she is going to be a faithful, nurturing, and loving mother.

I am so excited for the day I will be called “mama.” Adding a child to our family and just doing everyday life with them as they grow is something I have looked forward to for so long. I’m excited to grow our family and watch our child learn new things. I am even excited for the middle of the night feeding and changings.

Brian has a heart for people and children are no exception. Even children at church tend to make their way to him. He gets down on their level and talks with them. He’ll kick or throw a ball with them in the yard next to the church. Having grown up with his adopted brother, Brian has a deep-rooted love and understanding for adoption. He can’t wait to welcome a child into our lives through adoption.
