Our Heart
Nathan and I have both had a heart for adoption since early in our relationship. Adoption was part of our conversations while we were dating and talking about what we wanted for our family. Many of our friends have adopted. Our kids have seen their friends’ adoption stories in real life and their experiences have been so sweet and positive. Our friends are so supportive of our decision to adopt. Hearing their adoption stories, how their lives have changed for the better, and the relationships they have built with their birth moms, has really encouraged us as we have begun to navigate the adoption process.
“I absolutely love being a mom.”
I am so fortunate to get to be at home with my babies almost full time. For one or two days a week, I get to put on my nurse hat and hang out with my sweet patients at an integrative wellness center. I love hanging out with my parents, siblings, and their families. My friends would say that I am patient, empathetic, and hilarious and I would have to agree (haha). I enjoy meeting friends for coffee, playing outside with the kids, and watching cheesy romantic comedies. Parenting with Nathan is so much fun. I would say it’s my favorite thing. I have really enjoyed my kids at every stage, from the sweet newborn snuggles to cheering them on at sporting events. I especially love watching them play together. A responsibility I take seriously is that we are our kids’ “safe space.” I want my kids to know that they are loved, heard, valued, and that they can come to us with anything.
“I’m so thankful for my four sweet, goofy kids and my incredible wife.”
I love caring for, playing with, and teaching our kids. It has been so amazing watching them learn to walk, learn their ABCs, and learn to read! I have especially been enjoying them learning to joke around with me! My oldest has already been rolling her eyes and trying not to smile at my dad jokes. I’m a deacon at our church and love having the opportunity to love and serve others well. I have my master’s degree in computer information systems and I work in quality assurance. I test a computer application for an organization that I really like and is very flexible. I get to work mostly from home, which makes lunches with my wife and kids easier and allows me to pitch in when needed. Holly can go grocery shopping during nap time or take one child to the doctor instead of having to take them all while I work in my home office. I grew up a baseball fan but have started getting into professional soccer more recently and have even had the opportunity to go to some games through my job!

Callie is sweet and goofy. She loves to read, sing, dance, and play volleyball. She’s enjoys caring for her siblings, especially making them scrambled eggs. Callie cartwheels more than she walks! Shes a very loyal friend and loves including people.

Logan is the sweetest brother! He is quick to smile, and loves making his sisters smile, too. Even if that means giving up the last cookie. He enjoys legos, soccer, basketball, baseball, and playing fetch with our dog, Koda. He is empathetic and caring.

Sadie is so fun. She loves to make people laugh. While playing soccer, t-ball, or basketball, she goes out of her way to hug people when they get hurt even if they're on the other team. She also ignores the game, running around waving at the spectators.

Ayla Kate is so sweet. She loves hard, makes messes, and is often the first one to clean them up when asked. She also loves baby dolls and pretend cooking and helps Sadie in the toy kitchen. She enjoys music, dancing, and singing in her microphone.
We’re lucky to have amazing neighbors who’ve been known to bring us meals and even help with babysitting in a pinch. We live between two adorable small towns, with a community pool just across the street. In the summer, we’re at the pool all the time, where our kids do swim team and hang out with their friends. Our community has a fantastic parks and rec department that keeps the kids busy, and it’s a tight-knit place where we always seem to run into someone we know. There are tons of parks and greenways nearby, and we love walking to town for ice cream. Both towns host lots of festivals, concerts, and events that we enjoy as a family. Our church is a big part of our life and feels like an extended family full of people who truly care about us.
from the heart
We are honored by the sacrifice that you are making and your child will be loved as the precious gift that they are, through toddler tantrums and teenage eye rolls.
We will be supporters, advocates, safety and security, defenders, cheerleaders, listeners, encouragers, playmates, teachers, and the biggest hype crew.
Your child will always know how deeply you love them. They’ll hear about how brave and selfless you are, and how much you sacrificed out of love for them.
God created this world, us, and your beautiful child. Our biggest hope is that your child grows to understand the depth of God’s endless love for them
We hope this gives you a sense of who we are as a family and how we would welcome and love your child. Our home may not be perfect and it can get pretty loud, but it’s always filled with love and laughter. We have so many moments where we get to recognize God’s grace and point our family toward Jesus. We’ve been praying for you and your child for a long time. We know that pregnancy is challenging, and adding the complexity of making an adoption plan makes it even more difficult. No matter what you decide, we want you to know that you are loved. We respect whatever level of openness you’re comfortable with, and we’re praying for peace and comfort for you during your pregnancy.
We trust that God will guide you to the right family for your child. We’d love to hear from you and learn more about you and what you hope for your child.
So now it’s your turn to say hello!
