We know that you are considering an incredibly difficult decision and we have deep admiration for you and the love you have for your child. We have been praying for both of you for some time now. We pray that you find the right path for yourself and your child. We pray you know that you are brave, you are stronger than you realize, and you are loved. And you are not alone. We love you and support your decision; whatever that decision may be.

our hearts for each other

Our love story

We lived and worked in the same city in the same building, even but never crossed paths. We both moved to the same new city for jobs a year apart, and met in a Sunday School class. We started dating, and have not been apart since. What makes our marriage work is that no matter the circumstance, we are each other’s biggest advocate. Life is full of ups and downs and we’ve certainly experienced both in our time together but we trust that God is in control, despite what circumstances may indicate.

We keep each other grounded and we make each other laugh, and we do our best to show love to each other by serving one another: picking each other up after a bad day, taking on tasks or chores when each other is tied up with work, making routine tasks like going to the grocery store or getting dinner opportunities to enjoy each other’s company.

Our marriage is centered on our faith in Jesus Christ, and everything we do comes from a place of showing the other mercy and grace extended to us by God through Jesus. There is no doubt faith brought us together, has kept us together, and will keep us together.

our heart

for adoption

From the beginning of our relationship, adoption has been a major point of discussion. We always knew we wanted to adopt, but weren’t sure what that path would look like for us. A couple of years into our marriage, we began trying to start a family to no avail. After three years of trying with no results, we sought medical counsel. Various procedures and treatments led to a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. After a time of prayer and reflection, it became more and more apparent that we were being called to adopt, and we have chosen to follow that call.

We have seen how adoption has been a blessing in the lives of our friends. We have friends who have adopted children, but we also have friends who were adopted. How they speak of the beauty of adoption and the appreciation they have for not only their adoptive parents, but their birthmother’s decision has been eye opening and reaffirming for us. We plan to raise your child knowing how brave you are and how you fought to make sure they had the best opportunity possible. You will be a key piece of their story, not just a footnote.

our heart for

OUR FUTURE FAMILY

We always acknowledge that we will go wherever the Lord leads us. That said, we love our current neighborhood and community, and would love to stay here permanently. Our hope is that we continue to grow in the Lord together, that we become more involved in our church and community, and that we provide a warm, safe home for our children.

We have been so excited about the future. We both come from families with multiple siblings, and we plan to utilize adoption to grow our family again in the future.

our home

and community

Our house is a late 1970s, two story home with a large living area, three bedrooms, and two and a half baths. We live on a large lot with a huge backyard full of flowers, trees, and plenty of wildlife. Kelsey has made our home feel warm and welcoming, and it frequently smells of home cooked meals and fresh cut flowers. We want it to be a safe place for those we love where great memories are created.

Our neighborhood is a diverse community where people truly love and help their neighbors. The school system is one of the top rated in the area, and the neighborhood has a pool, park, playground, and an annual Art Show that brings people together.

from our family and friends

Before you go-

Thank you for considering us to walk alongside you in this journey. We are daily praying for you and the life changing decisions that you are considering. We pray that the Lord brings you peace in whatever decision is made.

If you decide to entrust us with the care of your child, know that we will love and encourage them throughout their entire life. Your love for them and the impact it will have does not stop after birth. Your story will be shared early and often so that your child always knows how much you love them. If it is something you are comfortable with we would love to share updates via letters and phone calls in the future. We want an open and honest relationship with you.

We understand that this is such a hard and important decision. We pray that the Lord guides you through it and we will be praying for you!
